Camp Reminder
Dear Parents,
As leaders we will do our very best to give your child a camping experience that they will enjoy and always remember, but to do this we need your help. Please read the information below to remind you of a few things.
We would like you to ensure that your son has packed his bag with you so he will know exactly where his things are. If we have twenty boys asking leaders where their torch or other things are it can take time away from activities, and we don't want to do that.
Please ensure that any medication that leaders need to give your child have their name on them, are in date and are prescribed to them. We cannot give your child a prescription with another name on it.
If you think there is a possibility that your child may wet their sleeping bag we need to know. There is no embarrassment it is quite common and we can deal with it discreetly. You would be strongly advised to provide a spare sleeping bag as we do not have any and if your child does wet his bag he will need it. Some children bring night time absorbent pants which is also a good idea. Also please let us know if your child sleepwalks.
We will send out an emergency contact number before camp which will be your only way to contact us at camp in an emergency. This number is only to be used in an emergency and the person who answers will deal with any other matter whatsoever. Please do not text, email or telephone any of the leaders or helpers at camp under any circumstance.
Do not worry if its your sons first camp, all our leaders went to cubs or scouts and had a first camp so we know exactly how they will feel and we know how to treat them to ensure that they enjoy their camp.
Yours in Scouting
